Lozorno - Kosarisko
Kosarisko is a small recreational area in the Little Carpathians. There are not many opportunities to enjoy there, except for two refreshment establishments. There are mainly many private cottages. We will go there from the village of Lozorno and take a nice 18-kilometer walk through beautiful nature. Enjoy your walk!
You can download the route here.
The track rises to half of its distance and descends from the halfway. We overcome a total of about 400 meters of altitude. However, the ascents and descents are not very steep.
If you come for our walk by car, you will find a suitable parking lot for your vehicle near the dam, which is located behind the village of Lozorno. Here is the link to the location on Google maps.
Our walk starts on the other side of the dam...
...We walk there along the top of its wall.
On the other side of the dam, we need to get to the yellow sign. There is a lot of construction activity going on here, houses are growing here like mushrooms after rain. We have two options here. Either we stick to the GPS navigation and go around, or we go up in the direction of the arrow, along a narrow path and we will get to the yellow route, which lies up behind the houses.
After entering the forests on the yellow route, we find several cottages and a hunting lodge.
In the mountains, we often find tombstones or monuments. There is also a monument to a ranger who was shot by a poacher in the distant past.
We come to the top of Ohek (377). You won't find anything special here, except for a pile of stones. We continue...
The Cerveny Domcek is a well-known crossroads of hiking trails in this area. We will go straight through it and continue along the yellow route.
Sometimes the trees open up and reveal some kind of view. Do not miss them and enjoy.
We come to a small mountain dam The Kubinov Kriz. On the other side of it, we will be returning from Kasarisko. Now we pass by it and at the end of it we turn from the yellow route to the unmarked one. Follow the GPS navigation.
The route leads by a small stream and we will follow it to its source, which is actually invisible. In any case, at the top we will have to find the blue route that will lead us to Kosarisko. Finding it is not easy. This is even more true here - keep track of your GPS.
The blue route will lead us to Kosarisko. It is also a cycling route, so watch out for fast downhill cyclists who can suddenly rush out of every bend.
We arrive in Košarisko and because there is not much to see, we find the green route and continue back with a constant descent.
The entire green route to the village of Lozorno is asphalt, suitable for a walk without sticks in a friendly conversation with friends, or with a good audiobook in headphones.
Here we pass by the already known dam. It is the perfect place to relax. You will also find benches here. Swimming is not allowed here, but you can wet your tired feet here.
After an easy walk along the green route, we slowly reach the village of Lozorno, the first villas and houses appear. We walk between them, continue along the dam until we get to our parking lot. Thank you for walking with me.
